CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE FLYWHEEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 4 bolts and crankshaft pulley cover from the crankshaft pulley.

      Using SST, hold the crankshaft pulley.

      Remove the 8 bolts, rear drive plate spacer, pump impeller drive plate and flywheel sub-assembly from the crankshaft.

  3. REMOVE REAR END PLATE

      Remove the bolt and rear end plate from the cylinder block sub-assembly.

  4. REMOVE NO. 5 CYLINDER BLOCK INSULATOR


    1. B007QZ2

      Remove the No. 5 cylinder block insulator from the cylinder block sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 CYLINDER BLOCK INSULATOR

      Remove the No. 1 cylinder block insulator from the cylinder block sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE CONNECTING WIRE

    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors and clamp, and remove the connecting wire.

  7. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR HARNESS BRACKET

    1. Remove the bolt and crankshaft position sensor harness bracket from the cylinder block sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR

    1. Remove the bolt and crankshaft position sensor from the rear oil seal retainer.
