  2. FUNCTION OF WARNING INDICATOR

    1. If the pre-crash safety system is not functioning properly, the driver is warned by the PCS OFF warning light in the combination meter assembly.

      The PCS OFF warning light is blinked when the pre-crash safety city sensor detects a system malfunction.

      The PCS OFF warning light blinks or illuminates when the system is temporarily disabled.

    2. Initial check

      1. The initial check occurs when the ignition switch is off for more than 2 seconds, and then turned to ON. The initial check consists of a pre-crash safety system diagnostic check with a duration of approximately 5 seconds.

      2. If the initial check discovers a malfunction, approximately 5 seconds after the initial check is complete and the PCS OFF warning light blinks.

    3. Constant check

      1. The pre-crash safety city sensor constantly monitors the pre-crash safety system for malfunctions after the ignition switch is turned to ON and the initial check (approximately 5 seconds) has been completed.
