  3. CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE

    1. Measure the voltage of the battery.

      Standard Voltage

      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.

      Tip:

      A simple method to determine whether the battery is depleted is to operate the horn.

    1. Check for DTCs and make a note of any codes that are output.

      Tip:

      When DTCs indicating LIN communication system malfunction is output, repair the LIN communication system before performing diagnosis.
