ROOF HEADLINING(for Sedan) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

    1. B347890

      Put the roof headlining assembly into the vehicle through the rear passenger door as shown in the illustration.

      Note:

      Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or vehicle interior.

    2. Engage the 2 guides.

    3. Install the roof headlining assembly with the 3 clips.

    4. B211698

      Engage the 2 claws.

      Tip:

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    5. Push in the visor holder as shown in the illustration.

      Tip:

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    6. for LHD Front Pillar LH Side:

      1. Engage the 6 clamps.

      2. Connect the connector.

    7. for RHD Front Pillar LH Side:

      1. Engage the 5 clamps.

      2. Connect the connector.

    8. for Front Pillar RH Side:

      1. Engage the 3 clamps.

      2. Connect each connector.

    9. for Rear Pillar RH Side:

      1. Connect each connector.

      2. Engage the clamp.

      3. Engage the 2 guides.

      4. Install the bolt.

    10. w/ EC Mirror:

      1. Connect the connector.

    11. w/ Rain Sensor:

      1. Connect the connector.

    12. w/ Pre-crash Safety System:

      1. Connect the connector.

  2. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY LH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  4. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING SERVICE HOLE COVER (for Driver Side without Assist Grip)

    1. Install the 2 roof headlining service hole covers.

  5. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. INSTALL REAR ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the assist grip sub-assembly.

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  9. INSTALL PRE-CRASH SAFETY CITY COVER (w/ Pre-crash Safety System)

  15. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Engage the 3 guides and 4 clips to install the roof side inner garnish assembly LH.

  16. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH

    1. B350812N01

      Engage the 2 claws and 2 clips (B).

    2. Engage the clip (A) to install the rear seat side garnish LH.

  17. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

    1. Install the rear seatback hinge sub-assembly with the bolt.

  18. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  19. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  20. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  21. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH LH

    1. Pass the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH through the center pillar upper garnish LH.

    2. Engage the clip.

    3. Install the center pillar upper garnish LH with the 2 screws.

  22. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH LH

    1. Engage the 2 claws, 3 clips and 2 guides to install the center pillar lower garnish LH.

  23. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  24. INSTALL LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER (for LH Side)

    Click here

  25. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

      Alignment Mark (Gray)

      Flange Position

      Align the alignment mark (gray) on the weatherstrip with the flange on the vehicle body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and install the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

      Note:

      After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.

  26. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    1. Engage the 8 claws to install the rear door scuff plate LH.

  27. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH (w/o Curtain Shield Airbag)

      Engage the 3 guides and 2 clips as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration to install the front pillar garnish LH.

  28. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH (w/ Curtain Shield Airbag)

    1. Remove the protective cover.

    2. Make sure that the front pillar garnish clip is not damaged.

      Note:

      If the front pillar garnish clip is damaged, replace the front pillar garnish clip with a new one.

      Push the front pillar garnish LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to engage the 3 guides.

    4. Using needle-nose pliers with the tips wrapped with protective tape, bend the end of the front pillar garnish clip in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration.

    5. Push the front pillar garnish LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (3) shown in the illustration and to engage to the front pillar garnish clip.

    6. Using needle-nose pliers with the tips wrapped with protective tape, rotate the front pillar garnish clip in the direction indicated by the arrow (4) shown in the illustration.

      Tip:

      Rotate the front pillar garnish clip so that the longer end of the front pillar garnish clip is positioned at the bottom.

    7. Using needle-nose pliers with the tips wrapped with protective tape, push the front pillar garnish clip in the direction indicated by the arrow (5) and rotate it to the position shown in the illustration.

      Tip:

      Make sure that the front pillar garnish clip is positioned as shown in the illustration. Failing to do so may cause a gap between the front pillar garnish LH and roof headlining assembly.

      Front Pillar Garnish Clip

      Engage the clip and front pillar garnish clip to install the front pillar garnish LH.

      Note:

      If there is a gap between the front pillar garnish LH and roof headlining assembly, the front pillar garnish clip is not installed correctly. While lightly pressing the front pillar garnish LH as shown in the illustration, push it towards the front pillar garnish clip side.

      Tip:

      Make sure that the curtain shield airbag assembly LH is not pinched.

  29. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

      Flange Position

      Align the alignment mark (red) on the weatherstrip with the flange on the vehicle body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and install the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

      Note:

      After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.

  30. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH

    1. Engage the claw and clip.

    2. Install the cowl side trim board LH with the clip.

  31. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    1. Engage the 10 claws to install the front door scuff plate LH.

  32. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  33. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  34. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  35. INSTALL LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER (for RH Side)

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  36. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

      Flange Position

      Align the alignment mark (orange) on the weatherstrip with the flange on the vehicle body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and install the rear door opening trim weatherstrip RH.

      Note:

      After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.

  37. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  38. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH (w/o Curtain Shield Airbag)

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  39. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH (w/ Curtain Shield Airbag)

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  40. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

      Align the alignment mark (purple) on the weatherstrip with the flange on the vehicle body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and install the front door opening trim weatherstrip RH.

      Note:

  41. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  42. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
