STEERING TORQUE SHAFT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL


  1. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

  2. FIX STEERING WHEEL POSITION

      Fix the steering wheel with the seat belt in order to prevent rotation.

      Tech Tips

      This operation is useful to prevent damage to the spiral cable.

  3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER NO.1

  4. REMOVE STEERING TORQUE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

      Loosen bolt (A) and remove bolt (B), then slide the steering torque shaft assembly.

      Tech Tips


      • Do not remove bolt (A).

      • Do not disconnect the steering torque shaft assembly from the power steering link assembly.

    2. B007RMBE01

      Put matchmarks on the steering torque shaft assembly and the power steering link assembly.

    3. Separate the steering torque shaft assembly from the power steering link assembly.

    4. B007S9KE01

      Remove the bolt and slide the steering torque shaft assembly.

    5. B007UEPE01

      Put matchmarks on the steering torque shaft assembly and the steering bevel gear assembly.

    6. Remove the steering torque shaft assembly from the steering bevel gear assembly.

  5. REMOVE STEERING SLIDING YOKE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Put matchmarks on the steering sliding yoke sub-assembly and the steering torque shaft assembly.

    2. Remove the bolt and steering sliding yoke sub-assembly from the steering torque shaft assembly.
