FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY(for 5 Door) REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Tip:

  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

  1. PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Package Tray Trim)

  4. REMOVE REAR FLOOR MAT ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Bench Seat Type)

  6. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Separate Seat Type)

  7. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP

  10. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.

  11. DISCONNECT NO. 1 REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

  12. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH

    Click here

  13. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH

    Click here

  14. REMOVE UPPER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH

  15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.

      Protective Tape

      Locking Button

      *c

      Release

      Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

      Tip:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
