THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Lift the rear of the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly to detach the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly from the 2 pins, and then lift the front of the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly to detach the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly from the pin and remove the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly.

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY

    1. A293382

      Slide the clamp and disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose from the throttle with motor body assembly.

    2. Slide the clamp and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle with motor body assembly.

    3. Remove the bolt and disconnect the fuel hose bracket.

      Note:

      If the fuel hose is detached from the clamp shown in the illustration, the clamp cannot be reused.

    4. Disconnect the throttle with motor body assembly connector.

      Remove the 4 bolts and throttle with motor body assembly.

      Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
