AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK (w/ Automatic Light Control System)
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the headlight dimmer switch (light control switch) to the AUTO position.
Cover the automatic light control sensor.
Check that the lights automatically illuminate
Uncover the automatic light control sensor.
Check that the lights automatically turn off.
LIGHT AUTO TURN-OFF SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK (w/ Automatic Light Control System)
Turn the ignition switch to ON and close the driver door.
Set the headlight dimmer switch assembly to the TAIL, HEAD or AUTO position to illuminate the lights.
Turn the ignition switch off and open the driver door, passenger door or slide door. Check that the headlights and taillights turn off.
DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT SYSTEM (w/ Daytime Running Light)
Headlight dimmer switch (light control switch) is in the AUTO position (and the low beam headlights are not turned on via the automatic light control system).
Start the engine.
Release the parking brake.
Check that the daytime running lights come on.
FOLLOW ME HOME SYSTEM (w/ Automatic Light Control System)
The ignition switch is off.
Turn the light control switch is in the AUTO position.
The light control switch is pulled to flash the headlights once.
Check that the low beam headlights come on for approximately 30 seconds.
Note
Perform this inspection with the customize parameter at the initial setting.
LANE CHANGE FLASHER SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Check that the turn signal light flashes a specified number of times when the turn signal switch is moved to the lane change position (it is not necessary to hold the switch).
While the turn signal light is flashing after the turn signal switch is moved to the lane change position (it is not necessary to hold the switch), check that the turn signal light turns off after theturn signal switch is moved in the opposite direction.
