  1. CONSTRUCTION


    1. Iridium-tipped spark plugs are used to improve ignition performance while maintaining the same durability as platinum-tipped spark plugs.

    2. The following have been used in order to meet the high voltage required for the turbocharged engine.


      • Materials of the insulator have been optimized to enhance resistance voltage.

      • The compounding agent of the center electrode tip has been optimized to enhance the spark consumption and oxidative consumption resistance.

      • The tip diameter of the center electrode and ground electrode have been increased to enhance the spark consumption and oxidative consumption resistance.

      • A copper core for the ground electrode is provided to enhance heat conductance and suppress the temperature increase of the ground electrode.

      • The diameter of the insulator tip has been reduced for the smoldering resistance performance.
