BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER(for RHD) DISASSEMBLY
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
The master cylinder and piston are designed so that the piston can easily fall out. Prevent this by making sure the tip of the master cylinder points downward when handling the master cylinder.
Make sure foreign matter does not adhere to the piston of the master cylinder. If foreign matter adheres, clean it off with a cloth. Then apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire outer circumference contact surface area of the piston.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RING PIN
Mount the brake master cylinder sub-assembly in a vise.
Note:Place aluminum plates on the vise to prevent damage to the brake master cylinder sub-assembly.
Using a pin punch and hammer, remove the pin from the brake master cylinder reservoir.
REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the brake master cylinder reservoir from the brake master cylinder sub-assembly.
REMOVE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR GROMMET
Remove the 2 master cylinder reservoir grommets from the brake master cylinder sub-assembly.
REMOVE BRAKE FLUID INFORMATION LABEL
REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR FILLER CAP ASSEMBLY
Remove the brake master cylinder reservoir filler cap assembly from the brake master cylinder reservoir.
REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR STRAINER
Remove the brake master cylinder reservoir strainer from the brake master cylinder reservoir.
